Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Practitioner: Administration to provide comprehensive HR support to our Sugar Business Unit based in Malelane.
The primary objective of this role is to provide effective operational and administrative support in the delivery of employee administration and employee benefits services across the employee lifecycle. The role is responsible for coordinating and administering employee benefits, employee records, onboarding processes, payroll-related submissions, and employee support services in compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 qualification is essential.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources and/related Administration qualification.
A minimum of three years’ working experience as an HR Clerk/Administrator.
At least three years’ work experience in administering employee benefits, retirement funds, death claims, and medical aid administration.
Working knowledge of retirement funds and related legislations.
Knowledge of the employee life cycle.
Working knowledge of medical aids and administration thereof.
Experience in drafting/preparing employment contracts is essential.
Exposure in employee record audit process is essential.
SAP HR Personnel Administration exposure will be an added advantage.
Computer literacy (MS Office) is essential.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and must be a self-starter.
Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Employee Administration:
Administer general HR Salaried/Wage administration and employee lifecycle processes.
Prepare employment contracts, appointment letters, and related employee documentation.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of employee information to payroll. Maintain and update employee master data and SAP.
Update master data on SAP.
Employee Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefit processes, i.e. medical aid and retirement funds.
Assist employees with benefit-related queries and provide guidance on application processes and required documentation.
Liaise with benefit service providers, payroll, and internal stakeholders regarding employee benefit administration matters.
Ensure accurate processing and maintenance of employee benefit records and supporting documentation.
Retirement Fund and Medical Aid Administration:
Facilitate retirement fund and medical aid administration processes, including employee enrolments, withdrawals, upgrades, downgrades, and exits.
Assist with processing employee documentation and resolving employee queries relating to benefit schemes.
Liaise with administrators and service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
Reporting and Record Keeping:
Compile and maintain employee administration and benefits reports.
Ensure accurate filing, record management, and data integrity of employee information.
Support consolidation of employee information and related HR data where required.
Stakeholder Support and Employee Service Delivery:
Provide administrative support and guidance to employees regarding HR administration and benefits processes.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, service providers, payroll, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure professional, confidential, and employee-centric HR service delivery.
